Subaru Impreza WRX STI at Tokyo


At the recent 2007 Tokyo Motor Show, Japanese automaker Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd. (FHI) announced that the all-new Subaru Impreza WRX STI is already on sale in nationwide dealerships all over Japan.

Highlights of the all-new Subaru Impreza WRX STI include

- Subaru's signature Symmetrical AWD
- Horizontally-Opposed Boxer engine design
- 2.5-litre flat four turbocharged engine
- engine now produces 296 bhp at 6000 rpm (up 20bhp) and 300lb ft at 4000 rpm (up 11lb ft)
- 0-60 mph in just 5.0 seconds and 158 mph top speed
- multi-mode Driver's Control Center Differential (DCCD)
- multi-mode Vehicle Dynamics Control (VDC).
- Subaru Dynamic Chassis Control Concept
- refined engine and suspension
- interior and exterior design expresses sophistication and refined functionality
- widened body flares give an irresistible presence
- interior design that stresses high quality and a sporty image
- advancements in the areas of environment, safety, and comfort
- shorter overhangs and longer wheelbase
- redesigned grille, fascias, fenders, rear quarters, and side sills
- front lip spoiler
- uniquely designed gauges, wheel, center console, and seat trim
- SI-Drive (Subaru Intelligent Drive)
- 18 x 8.5 inches wheels with 245/40 R tyres

In addition, Subaru also rolls out other products including the Impreza 15S, 20S and S-GT models. I hope Subaru will also launch these models in US dealerships soon.
